About Jean-Luc

Jean-Luc Nancy was widely considered to be one of the most influential intellectuals in the world. He is a French philosopher, writer, and film theorist and Emeritus Professor at Strasbourg University. He is the author of more than one-hundred books and at least ten books have been published on his work including Jacques Derrida’s Le Toucher (2000). He published hundreds of texts.

Nancy’s philosophy focused on many themes and topics supreme among them include Community, Deconstruction, Ontology, Globalization, Deconstructing Christianity, Sovereignty, and Arts and Culture.

Professor Nancy has delivered two seminars on Deconstruction with Giovanni Tusa for The Global Center for Advanced Studies.
