Jean-Luc Nancy is widely considered to be one of the most influential intellectuals in the world. He is a French philosopher, writer, and film theorist and Emeritus Professor at Strasbourg University. He is the author of more than one-hundred books and at least ten books have been published on his work including Jacques Derrida’s Le Toucher (2000). He has published hundreds of texts.

Nancy’s philosophy focuses on many themes and topics supreme among them include Community, Deconstruction, Ontology, Globalization, Deconstructing Christianity, Sovereignty, and Arts and Culture.

Professor Nancy has delivered two seminars on Deconstruction with Giovanni Tusa for The Global Center for Advanced Studies. He will be offering a seminar in Strasbourg in January 2019.
