James is a researcher and teacher based in Denver, Colorado. He holds degrees in literature, philosophy, and political science. He is interested in how different understandings of reality become embodied in literature, political orders, technological systems, and religious practices. His current work investigates the relationship between ontology and interpretation—how human beings learn to read reality and how different conceptions of mediation shape culture, politics, and social life.
