Biography
Pearl Brock is a PhD researcher at GCAS College Dublin whose work centres on the intersection of Jungian and post Jungian thought, therapeutic writing, and narrative exploration as a means toward individuation. Her doctoral research focuses on the use of fairy tale writing within psychotherapy as a method of engaging the shadow and fostering transformation.
A Consultant Clinical Psychotherapist, Pearl is the Clinical Director of Think Well Psychotherapy Clinic in Mullingar and the Founder of the IAPP, an initiative that advances excellence in psychodynamic psychotherapy. She is a senior lecturer in ethics and psychotherapy at IICP College and a BSc Research Supervisor, supporting undergraduate students in their academic development. She also works as a dream analyst, bringing a Jungian informed approach to the symbolic material of the unconscious in clinical practice. Pearl holds a QQI Level 9 qualification in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
Pearl’s clinical work spans over two decades and encompasses extensive experience with vulnerable and complex populations. She has worked across forensic settings, with LGBTQ+ communities, neurodivergent individuals, and those carrying profound trauma and shame. Her work is informed by an integrative, psychodynamic approach, rooted in symbol, story, and soul.

Outside GCAS
When not immersed in research or clinical work, Pearl enjoys the company of her cats, traveling with friends across the beauty of her native Ireland, the charm of independent bookshops, the creative ritual of journaling with fine stationery, and writing by the sea on the west coast of Ireland. She finds joy in the clinical work done with clients and the growth seen through that shared process. Her guiding motto is #understandingdifferently.
