Rishab Nathan, PhD

Psychoanalysis & Critical Theory

Rishab Nathan is a Lecturer and PhD Year 1 Advisor at GCAS. He received his PhD from GCAS, where his research explored how both psychoanalytic theory and practice interact with contemporary capitalism. He is currently working on turning his dissertation into a book, in which he argues for the necessity of the theorist, presenting psychoanalysis as the framework through which the theorist is constituted and maintained.

He is currently teaching a course in the MA program on Lacanian and Freudian psychoanalysis. His other interests include Hegelian and Marxist philosophy, cultural studies, love, and therapy.

Rishab is based in Columbus, OH, where he is training to be a psychoanalytic counselor.
