The Master’s in Psychoanalysis is designed to be completed within one year, though many students finish in approximately 15 months. Flexible pacing allows participants to extend their studies up to two years, depending on individual circumstances and research timelines.
After completing the 10 required courses, you students in the online MA in Psychoanalysis work closely with a chosen supervisor to develop a 20,000-word Master’s thesis. Supervision is matched to each student’s research focus, ensuring rigorous academic guidance throughout the thesis process.
In the MA in Psychoanalysis, you complete 10 courses (3 ECTS credits each). You may choose one elective and take one course as an independent study, allowing you to tailor the program to your research interests. All courses are delivered in a short-course online format, meeting four times per course, typically on weekends—designed to fit advanced academic study into your schedule.

The program is designed for global participation without any on-campus requirements. However, we do also offer in-person seminars (that are also streamed) at least once per year across the globe.
