Academic Course Schedule
2026–2027
A year of philosophy, psychoanalysis, theology, politics, and the arts
Our final course schedule will be published on 1 July. In the meantime, here are some highlights from the year ahead.
The GCAS academic year runs from September through June, with teaching across our BA, MA, and PhD programs. MA seminars are offered as focused month-long intensives spanning Philosophy, Psychoanalysis, Theology, and Politics; the BA program builds across tiered courses in writing, philosophy, literature, science, and ethics; and the PhD program is anchored by Orientation and a recurring Advanced Research Techniques sequence. The year culminates in our Florence Seminars and Commencement in May.
