Samuel Eshleman Latimer, Psy.D., Lecturer in Psychology and Psychoanalysis


Clinical and Social Psychologist

Samuel Eshleman Latimer, Psy.D.; PhD candidate, is a clinical and social psychologist specializing in conflict management, interpersonal relationships, and ideological diversity. He is the founder of Fostering Growth and Cooperation, an initiative dedicated to developing conflict management therapies that strengthen democratic dialogue and community resilience.

Dr. Eshleman Latimer’s multidisciplinary scholarship spans the intersections of conflict, relationships, competition, and human sexuality. His peer-reviewed research and book contributions, published through outlets including Cambridge University Press and Rowman & Littlefield, examine open science methodology, political orientation measurement, and evidence-based interventions for couples and families.

Dr. Eshleman Latimer develops specialized workshops and conducts trainings across academic, clinical, and medical settings, including Columbia University, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and Child Focus. His current research investigates open science practices, adversarial collaboration, and the structural barriers researchers face when working across deep ideological divides.
