A New Model of Enseignement supérieur
GCAS is the world’s first debt-free college, offering EU-accredited degrees through our partnership with Woolf and co-owned by its faculty, staff, and graduates. We reject the idea that knowledge must be purchased through debt and affirm education as a public and emancipatory good.
GCAS (The Global Center for Advanced Studies) began in 2013 with over 100 leading writers, philosophers, professors, artists, and filmmakers. We started as a non-profit in the USA but later incorporated in Ireland.
We offer EU-accredited degrees through our partner, Woolf—an accredited, degree-granting Higher Education Institution recognized within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
World-Class Faculty
Our faculty co-own the college alongside graduates. Learn from leading philosophers, scholars, and practitioners committed to your growth.
Debt-Free Education
All accepted students are offered tuition-reduction scholarships. Academic freedom should never be compromised by economic pressure.
EU Accreditation
Our degrees are accredited through Woolf and recognized across Europe and internationally. Quality education without borders.
“To provide the highest quality education and research opportunities in the world, debt-free.”— Our Mission
