The seal of GCAS: “Out of the Ashes a New Light”

Our Legal Entity & Corporate Structure
The Global Centre for Advanced Studies (GCAS), founded in the United States in 2013, is the academic name of GCAS College Dublin Limited, a company incorporated in Ireland in 2018.
GCAS is a constituent college of Woolf, which awards the degrees. GCAS College Dublin Limited is the college’s sponsor. Degrees are awarded by Woolf, a higher education institution licensed in Malta by the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA).
GCAS is uniquely co-owned by its faculty and graduates. This cooperative ownership model reflects our founding commitment to democratising education, ensuring that those who teach and learn have a genuine stake in the college’s mission and future.
As a registered Irish company, GCAS College Dublin Limited operates under Irish and European law.

What makes GCAS unique is our ownership structure. Unlike institutions run for shareholders seeking financial returns, GCAS is co-owned by the people who make it what it is: our faculty and our graduates.
When you graduate from GCAS, you don’t just receive a degree awarded by Woolf—you become a co-owner of the college itself. This model ensures that our priorities remain aligned with our educational mission rather than external financial interests.
