About Stephen

My research interests are in philosophy, both Western and Eastern, as well as phenomenology and neuroscience. I am currently researching connections between Dr. Iain McGilchrist’s work in neuroscience and Richard Wilhelm’s work on the Chinese Book of Changes (the I Ching). Both works explore a central theme of reconciling opposites through applied phenomenology and wisdom. These thinkers ask, ‘how can we, as individuals and societies, move from a position of opposition to one of harmony (resonance) with the world around us?’ Stephen is associated with the Global Centre for Advanced Studies as a GCAS PhD Student Researcher.
