About Christopher
Christopher Gutiérrez is from Laredo, Texas and grew up between South Texas, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and Chicago, Illinois. He attended Connecticut College where he was a student in international relations and linguistics. Since then, he has worked with a congressman in the White House which he gained specialties in grant writing and constituent services and has been active with community building with non profits and alternative/third parties. He took a different turn in his career to work for an event production and scenic design company in San Antonio, Texas. Christopher is associated with the Global Centre for Advanced Studies as a Student Researcher.
Research Interests
His current research interests include arts, media and technology, cultural studies, semiotics, alternative histories/narratives, counterculture, magic, alchemy, paranormal, occult, performance art, avant-garde aesthetics, anthropology, critical theory, psychoanalysis, philosophy, blockchain and crypto-economics, sustainable living, geo/bio-politics, situationism, post left anarchism, accelerationism, futurisms and utopias with geographical focuses in the Caucasus, Central Asia, Middle East, North Africa and Non Arab Muslim communities.
