About Víctor
Víctor Díaz Sarret (1980) PhD in Philosophy with a major in Aesthetics and Art Theory. He is currently an academic of the Faculty of Arts of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a professor in the Department of Theory of Arts of the University of Chile, as well as coordinator of the Arts area for the Baccalaureate program at the same institution. Likewise, at this time he holds the position of director of the Art Theory Journal of the University of Chile.
His research has been mainly linked to the figure of the thinker Walter Benjamin, besides dedicating himself to writing about painting and photography. Víctor is associated with the Global Centre for Advanced Studies as a Research Fellow for the GCAS South America Centre.
