Santiago Zabala is ICREA Research Professor of Philosophy at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona where he teaches Contemporary Political Philosophy and also directs the UPF Center for Gianni Vattimo’s Philosophy and Archives. He is the author and editor of over ten books including Why Only Art Can Save Us (2017), Hermeneutic Communism (2011, coauthored with G. Vattimo), and editor of Art’s Claim to Truth (2010) and The Future of Religion (2005) by Richard Rorty and Vattimo, all published by Columbia University Press and translated into several languages. He writes opinion articles for the New York Times, Al-Jazeera, andthe Los Angeles Review of Books. He co-edits with Adrian Parr the series Outspoken published by McGill-Queen’s University Press. His forthcoming book is Being at Large: Freedom in the Age of Alternative Facts (2020).
