About Eric
Eric Jobe, Ph.D. (University of Chicago) is an independent researcher and software engineer. With a background in ancient Near Eastern languages and structuralist linguistics, Eric pivoted in 2016 to a career in computer science, where he is pursuing research in category theory, functional programming, and computational linguistics while working as a developer. More recent topics of interest include the study of the philosophy of G.W.F. Hegel and the psychoanalytic theory of Jacques Lacan. Eric is associated with the Global Centre for Advanced Studies as a Research Fellow.
