PhD Researcher in Theology
J.T. Young (MDiv, Princeton Theological Seminary) is currently senior pastor at Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church in Lewisburg, PA, USA.
His primary research interests lie at the intersection of liberation theology, dialectical theology, and ecclesiology. What's the relationship between violent uprising and Christian ethics? Where, amidst starkly contradictory expressions, can the authentic Body of Christ be found? These are the questions which drive J.T.'s dissertation, which focuses specifically on the riots & rebellions of oppressed people-groups as sites of the kingdom of God's irruption & in-breaking. J.T. is married to Amy and has two children, Boston and Oakley, with a third due September 2019.
